This workshop focuses on integrating Intersectionality into EMDR therapy, with an emphasis on Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EEDI) principles. Through this session, participants will deepen their understanding of how cultural, social, and individual diversity impacts the therapeutic process, ultimately improving the effectiveness of EMDR for a broader range of clients.

About the Presenter
Jasminder Bahia is an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and Chartered Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience in cultural contexts, particularly in working with racialised trauma. She has been practising EMDR since 2010 and has received additional training in EMDR Therapy for BIPOC Clinicians and Cultural Somatics.
As an active member and tutor at the Black, Asian, African Therapy Network (BAATN), Jasminder is committed to decolonising therapy and providing culturally sensitive care. She has over two decades of experience as a yoga teacher and trainer, incorporating mindful practices such as Meditation, Pranayama, and Yoga Nidra into her therapeutic approach.
Jasminder works in private practice, offering therapy across different age groups and backgrounds. Her integrative approach is continually shaped by ongoing professional development and the insights gained from her clients.
